Jesus is worth your undivided heart in 2025.

This is what the Lord is telling me lately. He wants my whole, undivided heart. He wants me to confidently choose faith instead of fear, surrender instead of control, and worship instead of worry. He doesn’t want me giving my heart away to anxious thoughts, deception, lesser love, and doubt of His sovereignty. He wants me to have radical belief in and radical obedience to Him. He wants me to walk in His truth and cling to it like the woman who boldly and confidently latched onto His robe before she was healed by His power. 

His word tells us all we need to know about Him, and we can trust it and cling to it.

So in 2025, may we will ourselves to have undivided hearts to the God who so clearly deserves our everything.

Whatever your relationship with Jesus looked like in 2024, take that and build on it in 2025. Here’s a few ideas to draw closer to Him with an undivided heart in the new year: 

• Regularly attend a local church that faithfully teaches and lives out God’s word (We are members of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Charleston and we love it if you’d like to try it out!).
• Make a daily appointment to spend time alone in God’s word and in intentional prayer.
• Seek opportunities to serve others both within your church and outside your church.
• Find new ways to use your time and talents for the Lord.
• Commit to memory the scriptures your heart needs reminded of.
• Set boundaries with anything or anyone leading you into temptation to sin. Remember we are new creations in Christ, and we serve a holy God who hates sin. 
• Observe believers who are wiser and more mature in the faith than you (we all have room to grow!). Ask them out for coffee or lunch. 
• Pour into others who are younger in the faith than you. Ask them out for coffee or lunch.
• Steward all you have been given (time, resources, health, talents, relationships, children, home, church, etc.) knowing God is the master over it all and you’re just managing it. 
• Worship. Enjoy the Lord and praise Him in your day-to-day moments. Praise Him for Who He is!

He is worthy of your whole, undivided heart.

No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
