“I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1
In my 32nd year, the Lord taught me to walk by faith and not sight. He showed me that no matter what a situation looks like to me and no matter how I feel about it, He’s the one with authority over it. He’s in complete control and always working things out for the good of those who love Him. He made my faith so real in ways I never would have imagined. He revealed to me over and over and over again that He is faithful. He did some really amazing things that were just for me—to see through faith.
Yesterday (March 14) was the first day of my 33rd year. I am so grateful for every breath, every heartbeat, and every moment. I can’t wait to see what He’s got this year but some things He has shown me recently is:
– Obedience is following Jesus at any cost. My life is not my own, but His. (Matthew 16:24)
– It’s okay to never see the fruit of seeds planted. It’s okay to be just the sower. The Kingdom needs sowers. (Matthew 9:37)
– Most people do not truly know Jesus. Again, most people do not truly know Jesus.
– It’s okay to be still. It’s okay to be quiet. It’s okay to take a break. True rest is found in Him. So, come. (Matthew 11:28-30)
– Every context the Lord has me in at this moment is exactly where He wants me. The next thing, if there is one, comes when and how He wants it to.
– God can use our quirks and imperfections for His glory. In fact, I think He delights to.
– God has a plan for tomorrow, so enjoy today. (And thank Him for it!!)
