Oh, come

Oh, come

Oh, come.

The words our hearts have cried out for since the beginning rings true again this season. We long for something more. Something stronger, better, more loving, more present, more personal. We long for the brokenness, the emptiness, the hurt, the failure, the regret, the grief, the shame to be gone. We need a savior. We need someone to take it all away because it’s so hard to carry on like this.

Oh, come.

Give us a king, they begged. Give us a leader who is strong enough to defeat our enemies and powerful enough to protect us from all evil. Give us the one they’ve talked about for years who promises to make all things better. Give us someone who can rule.

Oh, come.

Emmanuel. The One who is called God with us. The embodiment and fullness of deity. The One who is just and righteous, who took the cup of His Father’s wrath on our behalf. The answer to every question that’s ever been raised about who God is. Wonderful Counselor. Mighty God. Everlasting Father. Prince of Peace, come. Come into our hearts again this year and be near to us. Draw us close to You and remind those of us who have been distant just how close You always are. Help us trust that You are our refuge, our shelter, our shepherd. Make it personal for each of us. Let us know You are the One who once came to be with us, to be sin for us, so even we could know You. Save us, clean us, make us new. We are desperate for You.

Come, Lord Jesus. Come into our hearts again this season.

I’m Anna

I’m a follower of Jesus, a lover of good stories, and a firm believer that nothing is wasted in God’s hands.

In 2017, I packed up my life and moved to a new state, craving a fresh start. What I found was so much more than a new zip code — I encountered Jesus in a way that reshaped everything.

Since then, I’ve been learning to walk more closely with Him — through everyday moments, Holy Spirit-led revelations, and the unexpected turns of life. I write to share some of that journey, in hopes it encourages you in yours and points you to our wonderful Creator.

So glad you’re here, friend. Let’s keep growing in grace together.
